FIRST: A few days ago I was putting my hair in braids and noticed something strange. A very noticeable and LIGHT colored hair up by my forehead. I thought oh it’s probably just one of those random blond hairs that I get every once in a while. Blame it on the bathroom lighting or something. Later on that day I mentioned it to my girlfriends while we were at the park. Several of them volunteered to do a closer inspection – in the blazing sunlight. Sadly, they all confirmed my fears (and seemed strangely delighted to do so)… Introducing my first official GRAY HAIR:
What in the world?? I’m only 27! Apparently that equals OLD. I even had Brent pluck it out later so we could really see it. And it wasn’t even gray – it was WHITE! And had kind of a weird and wiry texture, too. Am I going gray already? I don’t even have wrinkles yet! I’m hoping it was just a fluke… maybe weird pregnancy hormones have something to do with it…? (Yeah Tam, keep telling yourself that.) Definitely disturbing.
LAST: On a happier sad note – yesterday the fam hit up Disneyland for the last time before our annual passes expire this weekend. We had the best time there this year, but don’t plan on renewing any time soon because of the baby coming. Totally worth the money though – we made so many happy memories and did a lot of family bonding while waiting in line. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Finlayson for the best Christmas present ever. We’ll definitely be doing annual passes of some sort again in the future. Though I’m thinking maybe Sea World or Knott’s Berry Farm for the next time around. Goodbye Disneyland and California Adventure – we’ll miss you!
