So, I’m sick again. I had one healthy week which included a crazy busy and kinda stressful weekend of planning Josh’s baby blessing, and Lindsay’s 3rd birthday party (doubled up).

Everything went off without a hitch. We had lots of company, perfect weather, ate lots of food, and cousins had a ton of fun playing at the park. It was a lovely blessing and a near perfect party. And Lindsay RAKED. IT. IN.

It was kind of shameful how much stuff she got. But also a ton of fun having a super girly hot pink princess party, with a giant princess cake, and tons of tutus, wands, and BLING. Her favorite gift? The vintage pink cowboy boots I scored at Goodwill a few months back. She LOVES these. And I do too. They instantly make any outfit look about 10 times cuter… (even if she is wearing them on the wrong feet.) 🙂

Anyways – the next morning I woke up with absolutely NO voice, a sore throat, mild cough, fever, and enough sinus pressure to make me want to take a power drill to my head. If I’m not feeling better by tomorrow, it’s off to the doctor… again. I have now basically been sick for over two months, and for Joshua’s whole life.
*sigh*

Can’t a girl get a break?
Apparently not, cuz at the same time all this crazy was going on, we got word that our rental property has some serious leak/mold issues going on that are going to cost A LOT to repair. A LOT. And we can’t stand sinking any more money into that house. Add insurance calls, plumbers, property management people, hospital bills, and lease renewals to a crying baby, a whiny toddler, older kids who need help with homework, plus the usual laundry, dishes, dinners, and clean up – and you have a VERY stressed mom. Who is sick. And has no clothes that fit. And just wants to sleep. all. day.

Times like these I have to count my blessings (see below) and take things one day at a time. *breathe in* *breathe out* *breathe in* *breathe out*
LJ wanted to sing Happy Birthday to herself and blow out the candles for a second time, later on the night of her party. So of course we let her. My favorite thing about this video? (besides the tutu on top of the overalls…) The way she blows out the candles. So cute. Love you Lindsay-girl.
