So I’ve been stressing over the fact that we are pretty overdue for a new post. It’s been 10 days – which is a long stretch of silence for the Nef blog. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen – but sorry, nothing has! I was even wishing for someone to tag me just so I would have something to write. Then to make matters worse, Wendy requested a new post and really put the pressure on. I know, I’m a slacker! (You’re a slacker, McFly!) So I thumbed through our online photo album looking for a little inspiration. It didn’t take long to find it. These pictures were taken about 2 months ago when we redid the boys’ bedroom.

See how fun Mom can be! I was so proud of this homemade slide and how much fun we all had together. These are the two old crib mattresses we had thrown down the stairs. We pushed them together and then wedged them against the couch at the foot of the stairs and PRESTO – a perfectly sturdy and super fun slide! Good enough to keep the boys entertained and cracking up for hours (literally) while Dad assembled the new big boy bunkbeds upstairs. Didn’t you always want to slide down the stairs on a mattress when you were a kid? Well, I think this was me living out that fantasy on behalf of my kids. I should really let loose with my kids more often. It’s that silly stuff you always remember. Laughing with my little boys is the best!
Oh shoot – I just realized I missed the first half hour of Biggest Loser. Curse you, Wendy!
