Lessons from Las Vegas

While my husband was good enough to stay home with the masses and battle glittery ninjas over the last weekend – I had a rockin’ good time in Vegas with some of my super fun, super hot, and super awesome girlfriends. Thanks to just a little plotting at our weekly “sewing night” – 9 of us plus 3 babies were able to celebrate Wendy and Chantel’s birthdays in an AMAZING, huge, luxurious 2 bedroom suite at the JW Marriott Resort (thanks to some serious hook-ups!). It was all very last minute, and I’m still surprised we actually pulled it off. We ate, shopped, laughed, ate, talked, danced, ate, painted nails, played games, laughed some more, slept in, and made a complete mess of our gorgeous hotel room. My cheeks were sore from all the smiling. I loved every minute of it and hope to do it again one day.

To further sum up our silly weekend, I’ve compiled a list of the top 10 things I learned while living it up in Las Vegas:

  1. Never cross Jana in a Wal-Mart parking lot – or in a game of “Spoons.”
  2. Apparently you are supposed to tip your cleaning lady when you stay in a hotel… ? I’d never heard of such a thing.
  3. Wendy’s undergarments are way too big… Don’t ask.
  4. Side ponies are soooo hot right now.
  5. It seems most girls shave their toes… who knew?
  6. You can comfortably sleep 12 people in a suite that technically sleeps 4.
  7. A bunch of Mormon stay-at-home moms can party like rock stars, too.
  8. Krystal should avoid milkshakes when driving long distances – once again don’t ask.
  9. Some people do not need alcohol to act completely drunk.
  10. None of us can dance – though we sure like to try. (see evidence below)

Now, in the words of Abraham Lincoln – or was it Bill and Ted?- “Be excellent to each other… and PARTY ON DUDES!” For more pictures and funny captions – go here.

    I counted 45 toes.
hey tami… Don’t be bitter at me just because you can’t hang in a game of spoons! Ok so I am sorry for kicking your perfectly arranged spoon formation, but I seem to remember someone calling me a spoon wh@&$, so who’s the innocent one?

My two favorite quotes from that weekend are:
“Do you see how big I am?! You better recognize!” – Lauren
“Spoon me once, shame on you. Spoon me twice, shame on me!” – Jana
