A week or two ago we were able to hit Disneyland again as a family. This time we stayed late for Fantasmic and the fireworks show. And all I can say is – it was MAGICAL. Brent and I are really enjoying this phase with the boys (before we add another baby to the brood) – where they are big enough to do a lot of fun stuff and enjoy each others’ company. It had been about 6 or 7 weeks since the last trip to D-Land, and in that time Danny grew enough to surpass the 40′” requirement! We were excited to ALL be able to go on some fun rides together. This time we spent a lot of time at California Adventure. Check out Jake surfing the waves. Maybe he’s got potential… Aren’t my boys getting big??

We also have annual passes to the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, which are about to expire, so today I rallied up some friends to help me use up all my leftover guest passes. Can you believe that we fit 6 kids, 3 moms, 3 double strollers, and all our stuff into one car?!? Thanks to Krystal’s Chevy Tahoe and some serious maneuvering – we all loaded up and had a great day together! The lineup was as follows – 1st row: Krystal, Tami, Chantel. 2nd row: Jax, Jake, and Cole, plus a stroller at their feet. 3rd row: Danny, Allison, and Crew, plus a stroller at their feet, and one more stroller in the rear. The crazy thing was, all the kids totally got along, no one had a meltdown, and the trip went surprisingly well.

The highlights of the day were the swinging monkeys, the family of lions, and the water works playground. It was a beautiful sunny day – warm enough that the kids all happily stripped down to their skivvy’s and had a blast getting soaked. They spent at least an hour running, rolling, and racing up and down the grassy hills together in their underwear/diapers. Danny even danced a cool half naked hula dance to the African music for all the lucky onlookers. Where’s a video camera when you need it?

Living so close to so many fun places is awesome! Not to mention the weather. I love it here – but even more so, I LOVE watching my kids have such a good time. It’s pretty much the BEST THING EVER. Happy kids = happy mom.
