Look who finally gets to come out of storage!! For those of you who have read my earlier posts, you’ll understand the significance of this Care Bear… And for those of you who are still confused – let me fill you in on the exciting news…
IT’S A GIRL!!!
Apparently all the prayers/wishes/girl vibes paid off and our little SHE is on the way! YAY! I felt so loved by all my friends and family as I had tons of texts/calls trickle in around the time of the ultrasound – everyone was dying to know. It was so fun to break the news and even more fun to hear the resulting screams and group cheers. 🙂 And now I can confess that I painted my toenails hot pink the night before for girl good luck. Lame, I know.
I feel like I am leading a charmed life. I always said if I could pick, I would have two boys first, and then a girl. My husband has once again succeeded in making me the happiest girl in the world. Corny – but true. Jake is super excited for a little sister and I am super excited to shop! And even more excited to decorate. Of course, more than anything we are grateful that everything looked good at the ultrasound and baby looks strong and healthy. I was so nervous/anxious the night before that I had some really funky dreams and DID NOT sleep well. What a relief! Not to mention a bit of an ego boost, since Brent and I both thought it was a girl. Like always – it was amazing to actually see that perfect little person moving around inside of me. And now – here she is in all of her 11 ounce glory:
