Finally I got the pregnant woman out of my hair for a couple hours! I mean what does a guy have to do to get rid of his best friend! Come on, really… Girls night is the best, I mean I like being around my wife and everything, but I enjoy getting an evening of just me and the boys. I get to teach them the finer points to being a man (tonight we focused on grunting), and then I generally get to play on the computer without being constantly interrupted by… the tv.
Of course all those reasons are just ancillary to the fact that I can actually tell Girls Night makes Tami really happy, and when she’s happy, the whole house is happy. I’ll let her go as often as she needs to.

Blog Changes
This isn’t the first time I’ve changed the blog “look”. When I started the blog I didn’t change it for about 2 years. Of course I was the only one who posted on it (or read it) and when Tami started, it needed a new look (see the Blue Period). Tami thinks this one (as green) could also be labeled a blue period as in Blue Lily, the sponsor of our header image. Thanks Wendy, you take a great picture.
So what do you think of the changes? The more erudite among you could have spotted more than the simple cosmetic changes. (Tami’s going to redline this post… She hates when I get all wordy.) But the changes include:
- Using PHP5 as the scripting engine…
- Changing from the wordpress blogging engine to wordpress-mu.
- Changed the URL for the blog.
- Changed the theme.
The first two changes were for performance reasons, and the blog is snappier feeling to me and that’s really all that matters… Changing the URL could result in some issues with feed readers (initially they shouldn’t be affected because I put a forward on the old URL, but we’ll find out after this post goes up if that worked or not.)(Oh and if you have marked us in your reader, you’ll want to change the URL because I won’t keep the forward up forever.)
