Hey all – time for a little pregnancy update. As you can see from the baby ticker, the days are really going by! Less than 2 months to go! Braxton Hicks contractions are coming fast and furious these days, as are the doctors appointments. I am about 31.5 weeks along now and if I had this baby as early as I had Danny – she’d be here in less than 6 weeks. YIKES! I keep telling myself to remain calm – don’t panic!!

But I am SO not ready this time around. Besides the fact that I need just about new everything, the future “nursery” is still completely in office/spare bedroom mode and looks like a bomb went off in it. We’re currently using it as a throw everything for Christmas, baby, electronics and anything else without a home, storage space. I realize now that it is a lost cause attempting any redecorating or major shopping until AFTER the holidays. Nesting is officially on hold. But mark my words – come Monday December 29th, it’s “Project Scout” full steam ahead. Brent has been informed that he will be spending his time off from work painting the nursery, crib, and futon frame; rearranging furniture; hanging shelves; mounting picture frames and mirrors; and assembling whatever needs assembling. I’m confident we can pound it out… Then maybe I can relax and actually look forward to our little girl’s arrival!
As for the pregnancy – I’m to the stage where I’m about done being pregnant but still have a ways to go. Meaning I’m feeling more uncomfortable, less attractive, and want nothing more to do with maternity clothes. Or heels – sad, I know. Bring on the flats, sweats, and pajama pants!! I’d also just like to sleep for about two days straight. Though I can’t even manage a nap. Baby is kicking like crazy and getting big. Mom is also getting big. 24 pounds and counting… Not sure how much of it is dispersed where – but my thighs, butt, and upper arms have taken a direct hit. I’ve had to modify my workouts at the gym and definitely can’t keep up in my cycle class anymore. 🙁 It’s about now that the fear over being forever flabby kicks in and a steely determination begins to take its place. I will get my body back – even after baby #3!

Anyways – my super duper friend Wendy of Blue Lily Photography was nice enough to take some little girl prop pictures I needed for the nursery. I love them. Especially the red Converse sneakers (which I bought used for 3$, along with the pink checkered Vans). Cute, huh? Gotta love Once Upon a Child.

We also took some quick preggie pics at the same time. I will probably frame several of these for a collage that will go in the baby’s room. Do you like how Danny looks kind of sad in all the pictures? Very telling. He’s been acting up more and more lately, been super sensitive, and clinging to Daddy like crazy. He begs to be carried everywhere and wants me to help him with everything. He totally knows his days as the baby are numbered… Wendy takes such great pictures. I CAN’T WAIT for her to take actual pictures of the baby. The grandma’s are going to go nuts over those!
