Jake is 5 now and in all day kindergarten – which means we had to give up on his daily naps. He adjusted really well to the change and for the most part only takes naps once in a while on the weekends. He likes to have “quiet time” instead whenever he can get away with it. Last Sunday was one of those naps he talked his way out of. As you can see – he really wasn’t tired…

Guess life catches up to even the most energetic of us. He slept there on the stairs for a good 45 minutes. Meanwhile, Mom slept in her bed for over 2 hours – because you’re never too old for a nap! (Especially when you are 9 months pregnant.)

PS – I’ve now scrubbed the baseboards, wiped down all doors and cupboards, sanitized light switches, dusted every surface, reorganized the pantry, and cleaned out my purses. Saturday (as I scrubbed the top of the refrigerator) Brent said, “I sure hope the baby comes soon.” I said, “Why?” He answered, “Because there isn’t much left to clean…” Crazy??! There is always more to clean! And I swear everything is already dirty again… How does that happen so fast?
