The Time Has Come

Only my closest friends will understand how truly momentous this is (cue 2001 Space Odyssey music here):

Yes everyone. Finally, I have left the dark ages… and retired my purple flip phone. It had no internet, no keyboard, no games, no GPS, no apps, no nothing. It was just a phone. And I received much mocking on its’ behalf.

So when two of the buttons actually stopped working today and we were reduced to taking the battery in and out and blowing in it like an old nintendo game… I knew the time had come.

And thanks to my husband thinking tomorrow was Mother’s Day, he insisted we go to the Verizon store tonight to pick me out a new iPhone and all the accessories. Thanks for the great gift dear! Even if it is a week early. 🙂

Rest in peace little flip phone. You were good to me. And I’m glad I kept you for so long.

Now. How to work this thing…
